  • I decided to pick depression to do my mood disorder on. Depression is a medical illness of feeling sad or suicidal. Some signs of depression are: feeling of worthlessness, or feeling guilty, thoughts of death or suicide, and feeling sad. Depression negatively affects how you feel. Some risk factors associated with depression are: biochemistry, genetics, personality, and environmental factors. Some common treatments for depression are: medications, psychotherapy (self-talk) and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

 

 

  • I decided to pick PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) to do my anxiety disorder on. PTSD is a psychiatric disorder caused by a traumatic event. Some examples of events that may cause PTSD are: a car accident, natural disaster, rape, war, etc. Some signs of PTSD are: arousal and relative symptoms, avoiding things that remind them of the trauma, instructive thoughts, and negative feelings and thoughts.

 

 

  • I decided to pick distress and eustress as my third option, because I believe that it is closely associated with my other two choices. Distress is extreme anxiety, pain, or sorrow. This kind of stress isn’t good for you. Eustress is the normal psychological stress that can be corresponds with being beneficial for the person, such as taking a test.
